Highland Park Cairn

Highland resident and bagpiper Vernon Love is creating a Highland Park Cairn (a pile of stones used in ancient times as a memorial), which will be dedicated to the victims and heroes of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. On Saturday, Sept. 4 at 1pm he will be holding an event at the Greenwood Flea Market (9249 Jefferson Paige Rd,  Greenwood, LA) at Turquoise Trader Booth 135. The event will include the display of a 480 lb beam from the South Tower of the World Trade Center, memorabilia from some of the victims with local ties, and the presentation a Native American Medicinal Wheel.
