Columbia Park- 600 Columbia St. Open from dawn to dusk, Columbia Park contains a full playground, gazebo, and picnic area. Currently hosts the Highland Jazz and Blues Fest and the Carnival de Columbia following the Krewe of Highland Mardi Gras parade.
Highland Community Garden- Corner of Stephens Ave and Herndon Street, next door to Noel Methodist Church; (318) 227-7685; ask for Sheila or Mike. A garden created by the Highland community, for the Highland community.
Highland Park- 1700 Gilbert St. Highland Park consists of a two mile walking trail, two tennis courts, a disc golf course, playground equipment, and a picnic area. Open from dawn to dusk.
Randle T. Moore Center- 3101 Fairfield Ave. A stately mansion circa 1924, the Randle T. Moore Center is currently used as a recreation center and senior citizen center. It is also a popular rental venue for events such as Highland Restoration Association membership meetings.
Thomas Field- 2758 Barret St. Open from dawn to dusk, Thomas Field contains an outdoor basketball court, a recreational ballfield, a walking trail, and playground equipment.
