| Honoring Highland Heroes potluck held March 19 for fire fighters and police at Fire Station #7, with co-sponsorship by Noel Methodist Church. | Two HRA Board members, Sue Ball and Cathy Williamson, were selected as “Community Gems,” a recognition provided to women who have volunteered unselfishly in their community. |
| On-going efforts to monitor Property Standards and Zoning changes in Highland, taking appropriate actions on numerous cases brought to our attention. | Wrote and distributed four newsletters, plus other communications to HRA members. |

| HRA members met with Frank Gilbert, consultant for National Trust for Historic Preservation, and provided him with maps and tours of the Fairfield and Highland Historic Districts as part of HRA’s advocacy for a Historic Commission for Shreveport. | Held successful two-day Celebrate Highland: A Holiday Home Tour of historic homes in Highland, bringing several hundred persons into neighborhood to tour area homes, including groups from Dallas and Houston and a pre-event group of travel writers. |
