Loss of historic Highland home

The Highland neighborhood lost another 1920s historic home Tuesday night to fire.  The Shreveport Fire Department fought valiantly to terminate the fire at the corner of Gilbert and Herndon but, due to in part to the house’s thick timber construction, the blaze reignited and required multiple crews before it was extinguished.  Fire Chief Brian Crawford is asking anyone with information on the fire to contact the Shreveport Fire Department.  Read more on this incident at the Shreveport Times.com
