Centenary College of Louisiana, our Highland partner and neighbor offers two choirs, orchestra, opera and music theater productions, and various chamber experiences, students have a broad range of ensemble opportunities to explore. Camerata– 2911 Centenary, (318) 869-5235, Performs classic choral works to the highest musical standards in 2-4 local concerts a year.

Centenary College Choir– 2911 Centenary, (318) 869-5200, Comprised of Centenary students from any academic major, the Centenary choir has been performing all over the world since 1941.

Centenary Jazz Ensemble 2911 Centenary, (318) 869-5235, Exploring the jazz repertoire from the 1920s to the 21st century, this ensemble offers several performances a year both on-campus and off-campus.

Centenary Percussion Ensemble 2911 Centenary, (318) 869-5235, Lead by the principal percussionist with the Shreveport Symphony, provides students with the opportunity to perform on a wide variety of percussion instruments in a group setting.

Centenary Suzuki School– 2911 Centenary, (318) 869-5728, Offers violin, viola, and cello lessons to children using the Suzuki method.

Centenary Wind Ensemble 2911 Centenary, (318) 869-5235, Performs both traditional and contemporary band literature.

The Opera Workshop– 2911 Centenary Blvd, (318) 869-5253, Provides students with the opportunity to participate in opera scene recitals as well as full-scale productions once a year.

Hurley Orchestra– 2911 Centenary Blvd, (318) 869-5253, Comprised of approximately 40 music and non-music majors at Centenary College; all concerts are free and open to the public.


Fairfield Studios– 1510 Fairfield Ave, (318) 220-0400, Provides a full array of multi-media production and post-production support. Also hosts the Shreveport House Concert Series.

KSCL Shreveport’s alternative music radio station; run by Centenary College students.
