Proposed Renter's Code for Shreveport

Last month HRA members received their Summer 2010 newsletter and read about outgoing councilman Monty Walford’s development of a renter’s ordinance. Designed to protect renters and neighborhoods from substandard housing, Walford and fellow councilman Calvin Lester introduced the code at a recent city council meeting and plan to hold a public hearing about it in the future.
